Your club or Trust will be governed by your constitution, articles or rules but we recommend that you adopt a suite of side policies which help you on an operational level.
In short, the rules tell you what to do and the policies tell you how to do it!
Side policies do not need to be registered with the FCA, they can be adopted and enacted at any point although we recommend that any introduction of policies or amendment to existing policies is put to members to ratify as ultimately it is the members who will be bound by these policies.
Make sure your policies are up to date and available to be viewed on your website.
The FSA has produced the below suite of side policy templates for you to use if you wish. They are templates only and are for you to adapt as appropriate.
