Competitive Dad Syndrome is a tragic illness afflicting many men in their 20s and 30s. Its cause can be attributed to the male’s weakness for overrating his own football abilities, "I could have made it but for a dodgy knee". Symptoms include the need to "meg" one’s own child or, in this case, hit a "blaster" into the very same net that your toddler son is "defending". Good job it’s only a penny floater.
