We’ve all dreamt it – clean through, round the keeper, get down on your knees and nudge the ball across the line with the old noggin. Over in South Africa and SuperSport United’s striker had that very same dream… and the nerve to try it.
Nobody loves a long-range effort more than us at #ICYMI, and this from Dundee United’s Lawrence Shankland in their game against St Johnstone is an absolute cracker, and perfectly judged. Not bad for an equaliser in a 2-2 draw.
This week’s #ICYMI comes courtesy of the League of Ireland First Division clash between Longford Town and Galway United, as defender Michael McDonnell gifts the visitors the perfect start just 11 minutes in. His blushes would be ultimately spared, however, as the home side ran out 2-1 winners in the end. My my my, what a Galway goal.
Amahl Pellegrino isn’t a name that will be familiar to many FSA members, having spent most of his career bobbing about between the Norwegian first and second division. The Women’s World Cup is in full flow and Brazil’s Bia Zaneratto scored the goal of the tournament (so far) finishing off a fantastic team move in a 4-0 demolition of Panama.
