And finally… worst penalty miss ever?

We know more than most that football fans are prone to getting a little bit wound up and exaggerating everything. Any reasonable goal from outside the box is a ‘goal of the season contender’ or the new ‘greatest goal of all time’, and so we’re naturally a bit wary about putting superlatives on things.

This, however, is possibly the worst penalty ever. Beckham at Euro 2004 or Charlie Adam in last year’s Carling Cup final shoot-out have nothing on Jonathan Soriano of Red Bull Salzburg.
