Back in 2020 we launched My Club, My Shirt at Cardiff City – a series of portrait exhibitions celebrating the rich diversity of football fans who follow the game from all walks of life.

This summer we’ve been promoting the women’s game and our Free Lionesses Fans’ Embassy team followed the England team all the way to their win at Wembley on Sunday.
And the ‘My Country, My Shirt’ project, launched ahead of England’s Euro 2022 victory over Spain in the quarter-finals was an important part of the Fans’ Embassy promotional work.
Launched at the National Football Museum ‘My County, My Shirt’ captured portraits of England fans from across the country – highlighting the breadth and diversity of all those who follow the Lionesses across the country.
Those portraits were captured by photographer Sophie Cook, and videographer Alex Langton spoke to the fans taking part to talk about their support of the Lionesses.

On Wednesday we launched the latest chapter of the My Club, My Shirt initiative – My Country, My Shirt – an exhibition celebrating Lionesses fans across the country.
The history and diversity of Lincoln City is being celebrated in a unique fan-designed shirt launched alongside a “My Club, My Shirt” style event in the city centre today.
The Women’s Football Weekend is almost here as the spotlight falls on the women’s game this Saturday and Sunday with live games on the BBC, Sky and FA player across the weekend.
