Birmingham City fan group celebrates ten years of work

The FSA congratulates our friends at Blues 4 All, the Birmingham City fan group that were one of the Fans for Diversity campaign’s early success stories now celebrating their tenth anniversary.

Blues 4 All marked the milestone with an event at St Andrew’s last week hosted by Sky Sports and BBC broadcaster Amber Sandhu.

The highlight of the night was a significant civic honour as the Lord Mayor of Birmingham Zafar Iqbal MBE attended the event to present Blues 4 All Chair, Micky Singh, with a civic plaque.

Mayor Iqbal presented the award from the City of Birmingham in recognition of Micky’s service to the community and his role in “building inclusion through the beautiful game.”

Micky said: “The event provided an opportunity to share favourite moments from the past ten years and hand out four recognition awards to individuals who have gone above and beyond for the group.

“​From being early adopters of the Fans for Diversity movement to receiving official city recognition at the stadium, the anniversary was a landmark moment for Blues 4 All, proving that the heart of the club beats strongest when everyone is included.”

Fans For Diversity is a campaign programme run in partnership between the FSA and Kick It Out. Fans For Diversity encourages, funds and supports initiatives by fan groups to promote diversity and inclusion in football, and to challenge all forms of discrimination.
