Trust Oldham have become the latest supporter group to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with their club, Oldham Athletic.
MOUs help formalise the relationship between a fan group and their club, setting out key terms of reference for how the club engages with its supporters on a formal basis, and are a tool that has been used by many supporter groups on the back of government recommendations to improve dialogue between football clubs and their fanbase.
Trust Oldham chair Jason Flynn said: “As a Trust we have been working with the club on this for over a year.
“This document will strengthen and formalise our relationship with the club and I look forward to continuing to build our relationship while representing the supporters of the club.”
Oldham Athletic’s chief executive Karl Evans said: “I said at the start of my tenure as CEO at the club that I wanted to engage more with fan groups and individual supporters.
“It is vitally important that we all now continue to work together for the betterment of this great football club.”
