What is a Supporter Liaison Officer?

Football is slowly but surely waking up to the implications of UEFA’s new club licensing requirements, to be implemented from 2012/13. The initial focus has been on the need for football to reign in its debts as, by 2018, clubs will need to look like something approaching a sustainable business.

Clubs need Supporter Liaison Officers, says UEFA

While most of the attention on UEFA’s new club licensing requirements focused on the “financial fair play rules”, which are to be implemented from 2012/13 and require clubs to eventually break even, other regulations within the document should be of interest to supporters too.
