Umbro has commissioned legendary graphic designer Peter Saville, creator of all things Joy Division related, to design the new England kit. Many might think this makes him the perfect choice, Joy Division could have easily soundtracked England’s summer as Germany tore us apart, again. Numerous tiny changes abound such as the addition of miniature multi-coloured crosses, allegedly to represent multi-culturalism. That’ll have the tabloids frothing at the mouth in no time. Whether it also encourage people to fork out another £50 remains to be seen.
