Euro 2024: Beware of third party ticket sales

A message from our Free Lions team…

Ahead of the Euros, we are unfortunately seeing fans falling foul of ticket touts and scams, with supporters losing hundreds of pounds after purchasing “tickets” from unofficial channels which, ultimately, didn’t exist.

Most games at the tournament have been sold out for months, with limited tickets made available on a few occasions for certain games, and demand is clearly high, which is leading to the desperation for tickets.

We are reminding supporters of the risks when purchasing tickets via unofficial third party websites or social media accounts. There is every chance you could lose your money and end up with no ticket – it happens to many fans at every tournament.

Don’t buy tickets from people you don’t know on social media accounts – and common sense would also tell you that new accounts with low numbers of followers could very well be scammers. Even if they’re “real” ticket touts you’re going to risk a lot of money to find out.

We’re aware of supporters trying to obtain tickets through third party sites, however, we know the risk here is that those tickets could even be part of the opposition section and are not being sold on legitimately, which in itself poses risks if you plan to turn up wearing your team’s colours, sing for your team and celebrate the goals.

Official ticket sales are via UEFA although if you’ve left it until now to try and secure tickets it is very, very late in the day. There was a “last minute sale” (UEFA’s terminology) on 2nd May and UEFA say that any more tickets will be published on:

Tickets or not our Fans’ Embassy team will be on hand to help in Germany in every host city in which England play. You can find out more here, including our Euro 2024 Fans’ Embassy Guidebook.

You can contact our team 24/7 throughout the tournament on our social media channels @WeAreFreeLions, Free Lions on Facebook or via our helpline +447956121314
