This is a story from the FSF archive – the FSF and SD merged to become the FSA in 2019.
While the phrase ‘better late than never’ is more commonly associated with Glen Johnson’s attempts to block a cross you could argue that it’s equally applicable to our belated uploading of the fourth issue of Away Goals – Euro Chimes.
Euro Chimes was handed out free of charge to Pompey’s travelling support in late July and early August when they visited Portugal for their club’s friendlies with Vitoria SC and Benfica. Email the FSF’s Ken Malley if you’d like to hear more about Euro Chimes.
As everyone knows though it was holiday season then and we’ve been sunning ourselves in the Caribbean, cocktail in hand, for the past two months – obviously. As there was no Wi-Fi connection on the beach it had to wait.
Anyway we’re back now so you can all breathe easy and to make it up to Pompey fans you can download the PDF of Euro Chimes (issue four) free of charge. Alternatively if you’d like to replace your worn, torn and much traveled copy with a sparkling new one for only £1 (to cover P&P) click here to buy Away Goals – Euro Chimes (issue four).

Following news stories last week that emerged after UEFA contacted ticketholders for Euro 2020 with a change to its refund policy, concerns had grown that fans faced missing out on refunds if games were played behind closed doors, or had their venue changed as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Football Supporters Europe (FSE), of which the FSA is a member, wrote to UEFA requesting clarification. Today FSE have reported UEFA’s response:
An independent review into the events surrounding the Euro 2020 final has launched a survey which all ticket holders are invited to complete. It is being conducted by Baroness Casey of Blackstock for the Football Association (FA).
