Event: Climate crisis research project heads to Brentford

FSA members are being invited to participate in a climate crisis research project with the University of Brighton and University of Loughborough at the Brentford Community Stadium this September.

As the climate crisis continues to worsen, the project aims to explore how football fans can be engaged in climate action.

This project will look at potential ways to empower FSA fan members to share their ideas and perspectives on climate communication and action in football.

Through an interactive workshop at Brentford Community Stadium, it will use storytelling and football culture to explore diverse fan perspectives, aiming to generate inclusive and engaging climate communication and action ideas for the FSA.

These ideas will then be used to help engage the wider FSA membership on this issue, and to help shape FSA climate policy and communication strategy in the shorter and longer term.

The project is a collaboration between the University of Brighton, the FSA and Loughborough University. It is funded by the AHRC (Arts and Humanities Research Council) and UK Research and Innovation’s IAA (Impact Accelerator Account).

Taking place on Sunday 27 September, from 10am – 2pm, cover for travel expenses is available. More information below.
