Event: ‘Part of the Pyramid’ celebrates women’s game
This weekend we’re in Manchester celebrating the women’s game with a social event ahead of England’s game against Brazil.
The Free Lionesses will be hosting Part of the Pyramid, a celebration of women’s football from the WSL to non-league, on Saturday 25th October at Freight Island in Manchester city centre.
In partnership with the FA Women’s National League team we have a whole host of activities planned across the day with ahead of the Lionesses match at the Etihad Stadium (5.30pm kick-off).
All ages are welcome, but anyone under-18 must be accompanied by an adult.
Dresscode: We are encouraging everyone to wear their club colours first (i.e your grassroots shirt, referee shirt or WSL shirts) and then either change into their England shirt or adorn themselves with England’s hats and scarves.
Food and drink: There are nine bars and 12 restaurants (many vegan options, some gluten free ones too). Non-alcoholic options available at all bars.
Accessibility: The venue is accessible with accessible toilets and a lift up to the main space we will be using. We will also have our neurodiversity bags available for supporters to borrow if needed as well as sanitary products if required.
Onward travel to the Etihad Stadium: Two minutes away from Manchester Piccadilly. Trams from Piccadilly to the Manchester Stadium only 15 minutes away, walkable route circa 30 minutes, taxi ranks two minute walk away, ride-hailing services – such as Uber or Lyft – can be ordered outside the venue.
