We’re looking for supporters’ experiences with police to help inform the north west’s IAG – a of group of fans that provide direct feedback to police on their match-day activities.
We want your feedback on how Greater Manchester Police perform at the match as we set about creating the agenda for the force’s Independent Advisory Group (IAG) next season.
IAGs are groups of supporter representatives who act as critical but constructive observers of policing operations around football matches at your clubs.
FSF caseworker Amanda Jacks said: “We’ve always recommended Police should consider the views of fans – who are the largest stakeholders at football matches – and engage with the feedback they provide.
“Already, IAGs have helped make positive changes around the country in other force areas, particularly with West Midlands Police and the Metropolitan Police.”
Now we’re after fans of clubs in the GMP area to fill in a short survey about football policing – it covers the basics such as how many games you go to, what your experiences with GMP officers have been like and how you think GMP polices football generally.
The survey also looks to gather information about the standard of stewarding at the north west clubs. All information you provide will of course be treated confidentially and we look forward to seeing what you have to say.
In the coming weeks we’ll also be launching a survey for fans of London clubs to find to inform the IAG to the Metropolitan Police.
