Free Lionesses is back for Euro 2025!
The Football Supporters’ Association (FSA) is delighted to confirm that Free Lionesses will be on hand for travelling England fans heading out to the Women’s Euro 2025 in Switzerland.
Thanks to the support of the Football Association (FA), we will run our own community meet ups for some games, hand out our free supporters’ guide throughout the tournament, and support work around FA meet ups.
We have worked with the FA since the inception of Free Lionesses in 2019, but this tournament has seen a strengthening of our relationship with them, and we hugely appreciate their backing.
What is Free Lionesses?
Free Lionesses is a supporter service which aims to:
- Support travelling fans;
- Help provide travel information and answer questions around attending games;
- Bring supporters together – particularly if you are a lone traveller;
- Organise pre-match meet ups, so that new fans can meet like-minded others;
- Provide a fans’ embassy service to help supporters with key issues (i.e. lost passports, etc).
Sarina Wiegman had this message for travelling fans and the FSA’s work:
“Tournaments are very special and they have the ability to bring the whole country together. It’s something we experienced in that magical summer of 2022, and something we felt strongly two years ago even when we were the other side of the world. We hope this coming summer is no different.
“We know thousands of you will planning on travelling to Switzerland. Trips like this are a really big commitment and we understand the sacrifices you will be making. We thank you and please know your loyalty and passion will never be taken for granted by myself and the players.
“Let’s hope it is another summer to remember.”
Deborah Dilworth, head of women’s football at the FSA said:
“We are delighted to be heading to our fourth tournament to support travelling fans, to be able to give out a free supporters guide again is brilliant.
“We have really appreciated working closely with the FA to prepare some fantastic activities for fans during the tournament.
“Our supporters’ guide is also jam-packed full of key information, and we are looking forward to meeting as many supporters at the tournament as possible.”
