Free Lions 169 – Guide to Sofia

England are off to Sofia as the Three Lions head to Bulgaria for their latest European Championship qualifying match and as always we’ve produced a handy guide for the trip.

Our Free Lions Fans’ Embassy will once again be on hand to assist travelling England fans and have produced another useful fanzine for those of you heading out to the match.

The Fans’ Embassy service will be on the ground in the Bulgarian capital to offer any advice, information and assistance that you might need to help your trip go smoothly.

At the time of publication we’re still awaiting confirmation of our embassy location, but we are hoping to be based somewhere along the long pedestrianised street in the centre of town called Bulevard Vitosha.

In the meantime, keep up to date with our locations by following Free Lions on Twitter @WeAreFreeLions and the Free Lions Facebook page.

We will of course be contactable around the clock via the helpline on +44 7956 121314.

Free Lions 169 includes:

  • Bulgaria, not Brazil: Clive Hetherington on Bulgaria’s star Wanderson
  • Welcome to Sofia: a comprehensive guide to the Bulgarian capital
  • A closer look at the game’s venue: the Vasil Levski National Stadium
  • Gold standard from Sterling: Clive Hetherington looks at Sterling’s form
