FSA AGM 2022 – Elections

Nominations are now open for the position of FSA vice chair as well as on the FSA’s National Council from the associate and individual membership tiers.

Our AGM will be taking place on Saturday 16th July with elections due to take place for a number of representative positions within the organisation.

The National Council comprises elected representatives from our networks and individual members, and has at least three meetings per year. It implements the decisions of the conference and decides policy and strategy on matters which arise and require decisions between conferences.

National Council – Associate members

There is one position available on the FSA’s National Council that is open to all associate members of the FSA. Associate members are usually regional or non-democratic fan groups, atmosphere collectives, and fanzines.

One position is available for three years (until AGM 2025).

National Council – Individual members

Individual member positions are open to all individual members currently in FSA membership and there are three positions available. Two positions are available for three years (until AGM 2025) and one position is for two years (until AGM 2024).

FSA vice chair

An election will take place at our AGM next month to appoint the FSA’s vice chair.

The vice chair of the FSA sits on both the board and the National Council and helps provide leadership to both bodies on the overall governance and strategic direction of the organisation. They are also an external face of the organisation liaising with the media and other stakeholders.

The position of vice chair will be for three years (until AGM 2025) and is open to all current members of the FSA.

Nominations for all of the above positions will close at midday on Friday 1st July.

Voting will commence on Monday 4th July and conclude at the AGM on Saturday 16th July.

Should you have any questions regarding the elections, please contact the organisation’s secretary, Richard Irving via email: [email protected]
