Sessions running at 3.15pm:
- Ticketing – ticket prices and policies have been a hot topic for the last 12 months, we’ll be talking through the early successes of the #StopExploitingLoyalty campaign and its future. As this session is led by the FSA’s PL network there will be a focus on #StopExploitingLoyalty but it is open to all and we are interested in all matchday experiences. (3.15pm – G.27)
- The future of the 3pm blackout – we’ll be shaping the direction of new FSA research into whether the blackout should remain in place, looking at the questions fans want answered about the potential effects on fans and clubs if it were to be removed, and how it currently impacts the Premier League, as well as the EFL, non-league and women’s game. (3.15pm, Room 1.22)
- Women’s Voice in the Men’s Game – Fulham Lillies co-founder Sarah Keig will look at the matchday experience for women who attend men’s football, with a focus on sexist chanting; where it comes from, what it means for those who experience it and how men can be allies in challenging this outdated element of terrace behaviour. (3.15pm, Room 1.23)
- Young supporters – we look at how the FSA has been engaging with younger fans across the football pyramid and hear from those who are actively involved at their supporter organisation or club, to ensure that the younger fan voice is heard. (3.15pm, Room 1.24)
Sessions running at 4.15pm:
- Supporter engagement – it’s been a big year for supporter engagement as the practice becomes established at all levels. We’ll be on hand to discuss Fan Advisory Boards and much more. (4.15pm – PL Supporter Engagement Room G.27 / EFL Supporter Engagement Room 1.24)
- Football and the climate crisis – from replica kits to waterlogged pitches, football’s environmental footprint is under the spotlight. Join Pledgeball and the FSA Green Working Group to discuss the big challenges and make sure that fans play a part in developing the solutions. (4.15pm, Room 1.22)
- Women’s game – with radical changes for the pyramid being proposed this season, we’ll be talking through our consultation with fans and steps we have taken so far to advocate for fans’ voices. (4.15pm, Room 1.23)
- Fans for Diversity – campaign managers Nilesh Chauhan and Hannah Kumari discuss the big issues around diversity for matchgoing fans – covering the progress made over the last 12 months and plans for future activities, including matchday meetups. (4.15pm, Room 1.25)
Individual elections and proxy forms
FSA individual members should have a received a voting link for the Individual Member Election, which is open now. Contact the FSA if you have not done so. Voting will conclude at the start of the AGM to allow time for a vote count to take place and results to be announced on the day.
Proxy forms for those who wish to vote, but are unable to attend in person, are available upon request by emailing [email protected]. Proxy forms should be submitted by Saturday 14th June at 10am.
Motions
FSA members can submit “motions” to the AGM. These motions are then debated and voted upon by members. This democratic function sets FSA policy and ensures we represent the views of members.
A motion which an AGM votes in favour of becomes the policy of the FSA. It then becomes the responsibility of the FSA Board to ensure that any actions included in motions supported by the AGM are progressed and monitored. The deadline for motions was Monday 9th June (9am).
Standing orders
Read more on Standing Orders for the FSA AGM here. Standing orders determine the rules for our AGM in relation to the chair, voting, motions and debate, procedural motions, business not taken, and suspension of standing orders.
Live stream
Our AGM will be live streamed online for those who wish to observe the event but who can’t make it in person. The platform being used for this is Zoom and the link for the stream is here.
Members watching the live stream will be doing so in an observational capacity, so will not be able to vote on motions and other procedural matters during the AGM. However, there may be opportunities to submit questions to the top table.
Community-Owned Club Day (Sunday)
Our Community-Owned Club Network meets on Sunday 15th June (9.30am-2.30pm) to discuss the community ownership model, how to grow attendances, mental health issues, club help / information exchange and more – see the day’s full Agenda here and register via the link below. The day takes place at FC United of Manchester’s Broadhurst Park – 310 Lightbowne Road, Moston, Manchester, M40 0FJ.
