Wales travel to Azerbaijan on Saturday, June 6th, for their longest Group Four away trip yet although any realistic hopes of qualifying were crushed with the back-to-back home defeats to Finland and Germany.
Nevertheless the intrepid bunch at FSF Cymru will be making the long and arduous trek to Azerbaijan’s capital, Baku. The port city is located at the meeting point between Europe and Asia but FSF Cymru will still be out in numbers helping the travelling support.
FSF Cymru volunteers will be based at the Garage Bar in Nizami Street, junction of the road to the left of Gogol Avenue and Nizami Street which is close to Fountain Square and next to the O’Malley’s bar by the ISR Plaza. Taxis or transport to the game can be arranged here too. The FSF Cymru helpline number is + 44 7905 861848 so it’s worth making a note of that and printing off your copy of the FSF Cymru fans guide which includes far more info than we can possibly cover here.
As ever the FSF Cymru lads can help if you find yourself in any sort of serious difficulties, they have all the police and emergency contacts available and will also have access to the Welsh police and British Embassy advisors.
Amazingly some are making the journey from Cardiff to Baku by road, so it will be very busy for a two weeks for them. Read more on Baku or Bust here. FSF Cymru produce guides for almost every Wales away trip and you can see more of FSF Cymru’s archived guides here.
