FSF joins Facebook – we had to sooner or later!

This is a story from the FSF archive – the FSF and SD merged to become the FSA in 2019.

We’ve taken a step closer to our domination of the world wide web by launching the FSF’s brand new Facebook Fan Page. OK, we know we’re a bit behind the times here, as Facebook’s been around for seemingly donkeys years, but we’re really excited about it, and so, it seems, is the world at large.

Despite being online for only eight days at the time of writing, we’ve already amassed well over 1200 fans – an impressive figure, we’re sure you’ll agree.

Although this puts us around the same level as a Blue Square North/South side’s average attendance at the moment, we’re destined for the Premier League, and we need your help to get there.

You can sign up to become a fan of the FSF on Facebook here, or by following the nifty graphic at the bottom of this page, but why would you want to do that?

Well, our Facebook page will bring you news stories from our homepage as soon as they’re posted, as well as articles from around the world of football and whatever else we find that tickles our fancy.

It’s also there to help promote fans’ causes and news from up and down the country – get in touch with us, or write it on our wall, and be seen by thousands. It’s whatever you want to make of it. We’ll have updates on FSF campaigns, meetings and events, as well as a fair sprinkling of competitions and freebies, and the odd exclusive giveaway, too.

Given the knowledgeable nature of our membership, we’re sure there’ll be some informed debate and analytical discussion of the finer points of the beautiful game there as well. You can’t knock a bit of internet abuse banter from a total stranger after all!

Either way, help us spread the word throughout cyberspace – become a fan today, and use the ‘suggest to friends’ link to get your football supporting mates along, too.  The more the merrier.
