FSF thinks Minsk with Fans’ Guide

This is a story from the FSF archive – the FSF and SD merged to become the FSA in 2019.

FSF Fans’ Guide to Minsk.

With England due to travel to the Belarusian capital Minsk for the 2010 World Cup Qualifier on Wednesday 15 October we’ve been busy pulling together our usual Fans’ Guide.

England’s travelling support are quickly coming to terms with long journeys to former Eastern Bloc countries, with the trip to Minsk following the stunning demolition of Croatia in Zagreb. Away fixtures in Kazakhstan and Ukraine will maintain the trend.

Away games often have added potential for mishaps and travelling to countries with totally different cultures, who might not know what to expect from an England game, can make things even trickier.

As ever, that’s where our guide comes in providing information on a such a wide variety of topics, we couldn’t even begin to explain it in a single sentence.

So you’re best off just reading our Fans’ Guide to Minsk.

We produce these guides for all England away games, so keep up to date via this site or sign up to E-Lions, here.

Lastly, a massive thank you to former Belarus resident and England fan Nigel Clark who provided some great advice for this guide, check out Nigel’s website for further information on Minsk.
