FSA associate members Fulham Lillies say their first ever event, which was held at Craven Cottage, was a “resounding success”. Game Changers – Empowering Women Through Our Love of Football took place last month and brought together women from a range of Premier League teams for a day designed to “uplift women in the football community”.

Our landmark Game Changers – Empowering Women Through Our Love of Football event brought together over 25 women from seven different Premier League teams who share a deep love for football and a commitment to empowering each other through the beautiful game.

The day was a celebration of empowerment, learning, and inspiration, designed to uplift women in the football community.

It kicked off with a series of workshops led by Charlotte from Love and Power, and Amy from ThisFanGirl, who both shared their invaluable insights on feminism, football and female fandom. The sessions provided attendees with practical tools and motivation to campaign and organise, fostering a sense of solidarity and strength among all the participants.

The event was supported by Fans for Diversity (a joint FSA and Kick It Out campaign) and Fulham FC generously supported the event by providing the conference space and a delicious lunch, allowing attendees to connect, share stories, and build lasting relationships in the heart of the club’s home, Craven Cottage.

The day culminated with an exclusive stadium tour, offering a behind-the-scenes look at Fulham’s historic ground, further deepening the participants’ connection to the club and each other. The tour was enjoyed by all who attended and is highly recommended for all football fans.

Attendees left the day feeling inspired, empowered, and more connected to both the sport they love and the community they are proud to be part of.

The success of Game Changers highlights the growing movement to empower and uplift women within the football community, which the FSA are currently supporting through the Women’s Voice in the Men’s Game group.
