Get involved in European campaigning

This is a story from the FSF archive – the FSF and SD merged to become the FSA in 2019.

One of the largest fans’ networks around is looking for more football supporters to get involved in campaigns affecting fans across Europe.

Football Supporters’ Europe (FSE) works with fans from countries all across Europe on issues that matter. The organisation, mostly volunteer-driven, aims to change the game for better in the interest of its members.

Currently, the network campaigns on UEFA punishments. FSE argues that many of the recent punishments handed out to clubs target whole fanbases unfairly for the actions of a minority.

Under their banner of “Respect Fans”, led by Bayern Munich fans’ group Club Nr12, FSE is calling on UEFA to respect the rights and needs of genuine fans, not putting them in the same box as perpetrators of racism at European fixtures. Measures such as closed door matches should be avoided, they argue.

Elsewhere – FSE also works with football authorities in Europe over choreo, has launched a European fans app called Fans Guide, and the network continues to combat discrimination in football through its anti-discrimination division.
