Goal of the season?

This is a story from the FSF archive – the FSF and SD merged to become the FSA in 2019.

Picking the goal of the season’s always a tricky one – do you prefer the long-range Excocet or beautiful team goal? There’s no right answer. Possibly our favourite of 2011 is this absolute screamer from Eric Hassli of the Vancouver Whitecaps. Have you seen a better goal this year? Let us know and, if it’s not already done the rounds on Youtube, we might just include it in an upcoming Fanmail.

#ICYMI: Goal of the tournament?

The Women’s World Cup is in full flow and Brazil’s Bia Zaneratto scored the goal of the tournament (so far) finishing off a fantastic team move in a 4-0 demolition of Panama.

Further clarity on the outcome of the non-league season

Clubs at Steps 3 to 6 of non-league have received some clarity on their future, following the FA’s decision to curtail the 2020-21 season with immediate effect, but uncertainty remains at National League North and South level, where a group of clubs have launched a legal challenge to the league’s decision to declare the season null and void.
