Goalsoul & Fans For Diversity: celebrating 160 years of football

This is a story from the FSF archive – the FSF and SD merged to become the FSA in 2019.

Along with our friends at Goalsoul we’re celebrating 160 years of football at  an event in Sheffield this month.

Fans are invited to attend Goalsoul’s first Football Art Exhibition, a celebration of the beautiful game, which will be opened with a panel discussion with Anwar Uddin, our Fans For Diversity campaigns manager.

Anwar will be joined on the panel by representatives from Sheffield FC, Goalsoul, Kick It Out and Football Unites Racism Divides on Friday, April 21st, from 7pm at Chapel Walk, Sheffield.

The overarching theme will be: Celebrating 160 years of football; what does the future hold for the beautiful game?

Sheffield is the spiritual home of the modern game and boasts the world’s first and oldest football club: Sheffield FC – who in 1857, wrote the game’s original rules and innovations document.

The event is brought to you by Kick It Out and the Football Supporters’ Federation‘s ‘Fans for Diversity’ campaign.
