This week the Brazilian Copa Verde served up one of the most moronic pieces of football we’ve ever seen – Caíque Oliveira costing his Paysandu side the tie with a truly terrible penalty. What was he thinking? Awful.
For some reason four teams from La Liga are playing out a mini-tournament in Saudi Arabia this week and Real Madrid knocked out bitter rivals (and fellow Super League plotters) Barcelona with a 3-2 victory. It should have been 4-2 had Rodrygo not messed up this fine chance at the end of extra time.

Finland’s women beat Scotland this week with a very dramatic late winner in the 95th minute from Amanda Rantanen.
