The FSF and FSF Cymru’s condolences go to the family and friends of Gary Speed – a massively popular figure among fans, respected not only for his talent but his total commitment to the game. FSF Cymru’s Vince Alm: “Gary was not only a player’s player but a real fan favourite. A great bloke, very courteous – it’s a very sad day for football.”

This week it was reported that investigative journalist Andrew Jennings, known for his exposés of corruption at football’s world governing body FIFA, had passed away aged 78 following a brief illness.
Bath City are the latest club to promote the diversity of their supporters with a “My Club, My Shirt” project – celebrating their fans with a portrait exhibition at their final home game earlier this month.
