Deborah Dilworth, who leads the FSA’s Free Lionesses work, said the project had been a long time in the making but the final results had blown everyone away.
“It gave great pride and pleasure to invite Lionesses supporters from across the country to take part in this project. The fans involved have a range of different experiences – from those just starting out to matchgoers of 20+ years,” said Deborah.
“We would like to thank all of the supporters who got involved and helped create such stunning and authentic imagery” – The FSA’s Deborah Dilworth
Following its debut at Cardiff City, the My Club, My Shirt project has appeared at Newport County, Carlisle United, Nottingham Forest, Bristol Rovers, AFC Wimbledon and, most recently, Blackburn Rovers – all coordinated by our Fans for Diversity campaign.
Fans for Diversity lead Anwar Uddin said: “I absolutely love these My Country, My Shirt images – they celebrate diversity amongst the Free Lionesses fanbase in an authentic, subtle way which supporters just immediately understand. It’s brilliant.”
The FSA would like to thank Sophie Cook, as this project would not have been possible without her fantastic photography, and the National Football Musuem for hosting our launch event.
