Newcastle to propose safe standing?

Newcastle United are reportedly considering consulting their supporters over a bold bid to introduce safe standing accommodation at St James’ Park.

North East newspaper The Sunday Sun yesterday claimed Magpies Chairman Chris Mort is contemplating instigating a debate the safe standing issue with Premier League officials, supporters’ groups and the government.
