Non-League Day is back – 23rd March

Non-League Day– the event which has championed semi-professional and grassroots football since 2010 – returns this weekend (March 23rd 2024).

Non-League Day, which is always timed to coincide with an international break, aims to get fans of EFL clubs who either don’t have a fixture or who aren’t making an away trip to visit their local non-league club and show them support that is vitally important.

And this year, Non-League Day is going international, with support from La Liga outfit Athletic Club Bilbao.

The Spanish side explain: “As a tribute to the British event and the role English football played in Athletic Club’s origins, we have collaborated with the seven active English non-league sides that have taken on Los Leones at some point in our history: Civil Service FC, United Hospitals FC, Eastbourne Town FC, Bromley FC, Merton FC, Dulwich Hamlet FC and Corinthian-Casuals FC.

“Athletic has sent each club a flag to hang up at their respective ground and a retro jersey to raffle off among their fans. In return, the aforementioned sides have sent a flag of their own for us to use during our Euskal Non-League Day events and later donate to AC Museum.”

Whether you’re a Premier League or Championship fan without a game, a League One or League Two supporter who can’t make an away trip, or just someone who is curious about what their local club has to offer, there is sure to be something to interest everyone.
