The Football Supporters’ Association is sorry to hear the news that Peter Pike, chair of Clarets Trust (Burnley), passed away during the Christmas period. Our thoughts are with his family and friends.
Obituary: Ben Harrison
It is with sadness that we learnt of the death of Tranmere Rovers Supporters’ Trust chair Ben Harrison. A long-time friend of the FSA and someone who gave countless hours of his time to help others, Ben will be sorely missed by those who knew him.
In a statement announcing the news, the Tranmere Rovers Trust said: “Ben was a selfless person who worked tirelessly on trust and club projects, always putting others ahead of himself. He was the driving force behind so many initiatives that helped to support the club and the local community.
“His passion for the football club was unstinting; his vision and drive a constant motivation to us all.”
Tranmere Rovers have announced that a book of condolence will be set up in the club shop at Prenton Park for those fans wishing to leave messages for his family.
A joint statement from the club’s chair and vice-chair described him as “indefatigable” and “a fearless champion for the underdog”.
