Pledgeball reflect on Green Football Weekend

The Football Supporters’ Association partners with Pledgeball as we look to do our bit to tackle the climate crisis and improve things for matchgoing fans. They tell us how things went during last month’s Green Football Weekend – and highlight a great case study at Burnley.

Pledgeball say:

“It was fantastic to be a part of Green Football Weekend – so many fans got involved and pledged to take action against climate change as well as supporting their club to score green goals and attempt to win the inaugural Green Football Weekend cup, with Manchester United eventually taking the crown.

“We attended Norwich vs Burnley’s green game where we were part of Sky’s coverage of Green Football Weekend and we also spoke to talkSPORT. Thanks to all FSA fan groups that got involved, it was great to meet Scott Cunliffe from Sustainable Clarets at the Norwich game!

“Sustainable Clarets have recently joined the FSA and they featured on Sky’s coverage of Green Football Weekend, teaming up with Burnley staff to speak about the positive work that the club are doing to improve their sustainability – why it’s important and how Sustainable Clarets have been integral in supporting the club to do this.”

Case study: Sustainable Clarets (Burnley):
