Push your club up the Pledgeball League

The Football Supporters’ Association has partnered with Pledgeball as we look to do our bit to tackle the climate crisis and improve things for matchgoing fans. Matchgoers can do their bit via the Pledgeball League by making a positive environmental pledge – which can be as simple as using public transport or reusable water bottles – and clubs are ranked on that basis.

Pledgeball tell us more:

Following on from last month’s Green Football Weekend, the Pledgeball League continues and there are a number of prizes up for grabs for those fans who pledge (see below).

We now have a whole new mix of teams in the league so it might be time to get pledging if your club has slipped down the table! Our current leaders are Leeds United, with Manchester United, Charlton Athletic and Stoke City taking the rest of the top four spots.

Prizes

There are a number of upcoming Pledgeball fixtures with the clubs involved offering fans the chance to win prizes if they make sustainable pledges in the name of their club.

  • Huddersfield Town v Bristol City (Tue 7th March) – City fans could win a signed shirt while Town fans are in with the chance of winning a signed ball.
  • Bristol Rovers v Portsmouth (Sat 18th March) – Rovers fans can pledge for the chance to be a “Director for a day”, win a training ground experience or away match director’s guest tickets!
  • Burnley Women v Wolves Women (Sun 19th March) – a Burnley Women’s signed shirt is up for grabs.
