Read up Pompey: away info on Vitoria SC
Posted on 30th September 2008
Pompey fans heading to Portugal for Thursday’s UEFA Cup tie with Vitoria SC are going to witness an historic first. Yes, we know it’s Pompey’s first foray into Europe, but we’re talking about Away Goals: Euro Chimes.
England regulars will be familiar with the FSF’s Free Lions fanzine, which is given out at England home and away games, and for the past two seasons we have also produced Away Goals for the Champions League finals in Moscow and Athens.
This is the first time we’ve attempted this in a fixture which doesn’t involve England, or a CL final, and we hope Portsmouth’s travelling army find it an interesting read.
The fanzine includes a guide to Guimaraes looking at how to get to the ground and where to eat and drink, alongside loads more information to help you have the best trip possible.
There’s also a helpline number +44 7932 312344 for any fans who do find themselves in a spot of bother which will be covered by our man in Portugal, Ken Malley. The phone will be on from 1st to 3rd October, and is a 24/7 operation. Well done Ken on pulling Euro Chimes together.
Ken and his team will be handing out Euro Chimes in Portugal, but you can also have a look in advance here, or buy your hard copy here (£1 inc. P&P).
Portsmouth FC have, via the Portuguese authorities, given us information on the special trains services being put on for fans, click here.
