Yesterday (26th March) fans from across the country, representing clubs from the Premier League to non-league, gathered outside the shareholders meeting of the Premier League at Le Meridien hotel, Piccadilly, to demand a more equitable distribution of TV funds throughout the leagues and grassroots, and to campaign for cheaper ticket prices. It’s fair to say we made our point.

Following the meeting, the Premier League announced that £1bn from the £5.14bn domestic TV deal would go towards a range of causes, including for the first time money specifically aimed at fan engagement and the matchday experience. You can read our full statement in reaction to the news here

The protest itself received not only regional and national but worldwide coverage.

The protest, and our response to the news, was covered by The Mirror, The Evening Standard, The Guardian, The Daily Mail, The Liverpool Echo, The Daily Express, The Daily Star, BT Sport, BBC Sport, The Independent, The Telegraph,, The Leicester Mercury, Bloomberg, ESPN, the Irish Mirror and Reuters to name just some. We’ve also done radio and TV interviews for stations as far afield as RTL, Canal+, CX30 (Uruguay), Radio Rebelde (Cuba) and Radio Globo (Brazil).

See below for a selection of images from the protest, and what some fans had to say about the day:
