This is a story from the FSF archive – the FSF and SD merged to become the FSA in 2019.
Following England’s recent victory in Croatia, skipper John Terry said how much the players had appreciated the fans support.
And Terry has proved his commitment to creating a bond between players and supporters by giving up his time to attend a Nationwide England fans’ forum in Cobham, Surrey on Thursday, September 25.
A firm favourite with England fans, Terry was a popular choice when Fabio Capello chose him to skipper the side, and will be available to chat informally and answer supporters’ questions.
Fans who attended a similar event featuring Terry’s Chelsea and England team mate Joe Cole a couple of months ago say these forums come highly recommended, and offer a rare opportunity to see another side to some of this country’s football superstars.
The event will kick-off at 3pm and any FSF members wishing to attend should contact Evelyn Turpin at Nationwide – Evelyn.Turpin@nationwide.co.uk or call 07808 783155.

The Annual General Meeting of the Football Supporters’ Association will take place on Saturday 29th June 2019 (Royal National Hotel, 38-51 Bedford Way, WC1H 0DG, London).
