This is a story from the SD archive – the FSF and SD merged to become the FSA in 2019.
The nomination process for the 2018 SD Board Elections has now closed.
During the nomination process four seats were advertised. One position for members of the Rugby League Council, one position for the England and Wales Football Council and two general seats.
8 nominations were received, however, only Martyn Cheney was nominated from the Rugby League Council and he will therefore be duly re-elected subject to confirmation at SD’s AGM on 28th July.
Since two nominations were received from the England and Wales Football Council, the candidates (marked below) will therefore be subject to a ballot of members alongside the remaining candidates. The highest polling candidate from the EWC will be duly elected and the second member will only be elected if they poll enough votes to be elected to a general seat.
Therefore, the candidates standing in the election are:
Paul Cuffe
Antony Wilkinson (EWC)
Luke Cox
Rob Street
Neil Le Milliere (EWC)
Dave Pennington
Tom Greatrex
In this election, all elected members will serve a three year term. Voting will commence at 10.00 am tomorrow. You can read the candidate statements here.
Each organisation in full membership of Supporters Direct is entitled to vote in this election. Each organisation may vote for up to three candidates.
The ballot closes on Monday 16th July 2018 at midday. The primary contact for each member organisation has been sent details on how to cast their vote. The primary contact should cast their organisation’s votes in the manner determined by their governing body. Each organisation may only cast one ballot (although, as above, they may vote for a maximum of three candidates).
