Manchester United supporters have issued a legal letter to a west London local authority following the decision to cut their away ticket allocation for the upcoming game against Chelsea.

The Barnsley Supporters Trust has announced its delight at the club’s decision to reduce season ticket prices for the forthcoming Championship campaign.
And the trust is urging fans to back the Tykes’ board’s brave decision to invest cash raised by Barnsley’s magnificent FA Cup run into ensuring football remains affordable for their supporters.
In a major bid to strengthen links with the local community, Barnsley FC have cut adult and concession season tickets at Oakwell by £10 – and are offering free season tickets for kids under 11 with every full rate adult ticket purchased. Match day ticket prices have also been frozen
A statement from the Barnsley Supporters Trust said: “We met with the football club recently to discuss ticket prices and how we can work together to increase the family atmosphere at Barnsley and encourage the Barnsley community to come along to Oakwell and be part of the Barnsley FC family. We see this as a very important move in this campaign.”
“We would urge all supporters to renew their season tickets and encourage their friends and family to come along to Oakwell and sign up for the exciting new future at Oakwell.”
Barnsley FC owner Patrick Cryne said: “The moves to provide affordable football for all are part of a long-term strategy by the club’s board to build on the cup successes of this season and establish the club as an integral part of the community and the town’s fabric, with roots firmly planted in schools and neighbourhoods.”
“The club’s march to Wembley in this season’s FA Cup showed that the town and its outlying communities are proud of their football team and want to be part of it. Taking over 34,000 fans to the semi-final proved that.
“Bringing the club and our local communities together in a closer relationship can only be good for all of us and our decision to reduce season ticket prices is a gesture towards this. Together we can achieve success and bring a new vibrancy to the town.”
Mr Cryne, who was born and bred in Barnsley, educated at a local comprehensive school and earned money by delivering coal before going to university, added: “As a lifelong fan of this club, it has been a very important part of my life and I know there are many supporters who feel the same.”
“We want youngsters to share in this very special feeling a town has for its local club and help us build a great future together. The town is about to undergo a massive transformation in terms of reshaping itself to attract visitors and investment and I want the club to be an essential component of all this.”
