The FSF represents more than 200,000 individual and affiliate members throughout England and Wales. As an organisation we do our best to fairly reflect fans’ opinion and the issue of standing at football (or rather the lack of it, in the top two divisions particularly) comes up more than any other.
Why does the FSF back safe standing?
Next month many millions of football fans will head out to cast their vote in the General Election. But who’ll win your cross in the box?
Over the past few months, hundreds of FSA members and supporters’ groups have contacted their MPs to ask an important question – “Do you back the Fan-led Review of Football Governance?”
Despite making up around 7% of the UK population, currently only 0.3% of professional footballers are of British Asian origin. In a new survey, we are looking to get fans’ views on why they think this is, and what can and should be done to improve representation from the British Asian community.
For Mental Health Awareness Week and as part of our ongoing mental health campaign – #TerraceTalk – we spoke to two of our supporter representatives, Bik Singh from Blues4All and Gemma Teale from Brentford Independent Association of Supporters & LGBeeT’s about why supporters groups might consider setting up a mental health project within their communities.
