Already this season we’ve seen some ludicrous misses. This week FC Köln’s Sehrou Guirassy put his name for worst miss of the season – somehow missing from less than two yards while almost sending the ball back out for a throw-in. Incredible effort.

Estonian side Paide provide us with one of the best And finally… entries in recent memory with this epic own goal. Somehow they put the ball in their own net despite having possession from kick-off. Top drawer stuff.

And finally… goal-line tech

84.7% of fans in our 2017 National Supporters agreed that introduction of the goal-line tech in English football had been a success. Pity then, Red Star Belgrade who have no such luxuries as this long ranged effort was not given. Shocking from the officials.

And finally… halfway decent

Everton’s new £45m playmaker Gylfi Sigurðsson got his Toffee career off to a bright start this week by scoring this ludicrous goal against Hajduk Split. The Icelander smashing a loose ball on the volley over the poor Split keeper’s head.
