And finally… Captain Argentina

This is a story from the FSF archive – the FSF and SD merged to become the FSA in 2019.

 This week Argentinian defender Martin Mantovani scored three goals in La Liga: two in the right end and one in the wrong one as Huesca beat Leganés 2-1 on the final day. Incidentally, Mantovani made over 200 appearances for Leganés previously but his superhero antics weren’t enough to save Huesca from the drop.

How hard is it to score unopposed from 12 yards? Well, as FC Nantes’ Emiliano Sala shows, it’s easy to put just a little bit too much power on it – sending his penalty into low earth orbit. To rub salt into the wounds, they’d go on to lose 2-0 to Montpellier. Watch your head Commander Hadfield.
