River Plate’s goalie Germán Darío Lux was sent against Independiente this week for this act of lunacy some ten yards outside of his own box. The ref obviously gives him a straight red but Lux contests this for some reason. Baffling.

Hayward Heath stuffed Crawley Town 3-1 in the Sussex Senior Cup this week after being sent on their way by this simply astonishing own goal from Town defender Germain Dua, channeling his inner Jamie Pollock.
