Mexico struggled past the small island nation of Haiti this week beating them 1-0 after extra time in the CONCACAF Gold Cup. Luis Montes contributed to Mexico’s huffing and puffing with this terrible miss after being presented with an open goal by his El Tri team-mate.

We regularly document the incompetence of professional footballers with And finally… but this week LA FC’s Mohamed El Munir shows us that extreme competence, with a fantastic recovering tackle, is just as memorable. His heroics kept the score down to 1-0, and LA would eventually come back to beat Houston Dynamo 3-1.
