FSA Cymru guide to Belgium
Wales head out to Belgium at the start of June as they continue their World Cup qualifying campaign in Brussels and as ever the FSA Cymru team have produced a handy guide for those making the trip.
FSA Cymru #72 has all the facts you need on the host city including transport, the King Baudouin Stadium, ticket collection, things to do, food and drink, and more.

The Belgian FA have also provided us with an FAQ which is worth looking over before you head off:
– How far away (Walking/taxi/bus/train/tram) is the stadium from the centre of Brussels?
It takes 90 minutes on foot, 23 minutes by car and 40 minutes via public transport.
– What time do stadium gates open?
18:30.
– Will supporters need ID with tickets?
ID checks are not standard procedure. However, the stewards in Belgium do have the authority to verify whether the name on the ticket matches the supporter’s ID.
– Will supporters be permitted re-entry if they leave the ground?
No, once a supporter leaves the stadium, re-entry is not permitted.
– What items are permitted into the stadium (size of bag, drinks, cameras)?
Bags smaller than A4 are permitted inside the stadium. Food and beverages purchased outside the stadium are not permitted. Regular (non-professional) cameras are permitted. Power banks are permitted, provided they are no larger than a standard mobile phone.
– Will supporters be permitted to bring musical instruments into the stadium with permission?
Musical instruments will be permitted, provided we receive a list of all instruments and the names of the individuals who will be using them two days before the game.
– Will there be a location for supporters to store bags/large items? What is the cost?
No Facilities.
– Will flags be checked going into the stadium? Are there certain regulations?
All flags will be checked by our stewards upon entry to the stadium. The maximum allowed size for flags is 2m x 1.5m. Larger flags may be permitted, provided we receive a complete list of all these flags two days before the game. If any flag contains text in Welsh, Welsh stewards will assist.
– Will supporters be searched going into the stadium? And will there be male and female stewards?
Supporters will be searched by male or female stewards after the ticket check. There will also be a police presence behind the stewards. While a police check is not standard procedure, it may occur.
– It is essential that with the amount travelling we have an adequate amount of water available so will food, water and alcohol be available in the stadium?
Food, water, soft drinks, and beer (with alcohol) will be available.
– Are cash and card both accepted in the stadium?
No, only card will be accepted.
– How many toilets (male and female) will be open within the away section?
There are 8 restrooms in the visitor area. Four for men and four for women, each equipped with sufficient toilets.
– Will there be a designated smoking/vaping area for fans?
The fans can smoke or vape behind the stands. It is prohibited to smoke inside the stand.
– What is the best way to get back to the centre of Brussels after the match?
The best way to get back to the centre is via metro. The last metro leaves at 00:20.
