FSF and Supporters Direct appoint interim board

The Football Supporters’ Federation and Supporters Direct have appointed an interim board that will oversee work towards a unified national supporters’ organisation over the coming months.
Our chair Malcolm Clarke will be working alongside FSF National Council Members Peter Daykin and Fiona McGee on the interim board, which is due to meet for the first time in early-September.
They will be joined from Supporters Direct by chair Tom Greatrex, Tim Hartley and Oliver Holtaway.
Malcolm said: “These are exciting times for the supporters’ movement as we bring together the two main fans organisations into a single body to be an even more effective voice on behalf of fans than we are at the moment.
“I am sure that the new organisation will be greater than the sum of its founding parts.”
In addition to the six democratically elected supporter representatives, FSF chief executive Kevin Miles and Supporters Direct chief executive Ashley Brown will be on the interim board as non-voting members.
FSF members voted in favour of pursuing a merger with Supporters Direct at our AGM in July earlier this year – read more about that here.
