We’re giving our support this weekend to a charity football match (Saturday 4th July at Peckham Town) celebrating legends of the women’s game with all funds raised going to Samaritans.

A Lioness Legends team made up of former England players will take on a Samaritans All-Star team featuring members of the wider football community who have contributed to the women’s game.

The match takes place on Saturday 4th July at The Menace Arena (Peckham Town), home of former England captain Mary Phillip. Doors open at 12.30pm for a 2pm kick off – get your tickets (£5-10) here with all funds raised going to Samaritans.

The day will be a celebration of the women’s game, bringing together the wider football community, featuring post-match drinks, a BBQ, raffle, and music at The Menace Clubhouse with a post-match afterparty hosted by Baller FC.

Full Circle say: “This event is about more than just football. It’s a chance to reconnect, relive special memories, and come together for a meaningful cause. Samaritans do life saving work providing emotional support to those who need it most.”

2026 Jacqui Forster Award winners SupportHERS Collective are the official warm-up sponsors and rumour has it that some FSA volunteers and staff may be involved. Our vice chair Chris Pauoros is coaching the Samaritans team and an FSA staff member (clue: first name Debs) is rumoured to be undergoing a late fitness test…
