Since 2016 Reading FC have backed Twenty’s Plenty by offering away fans visiting the Madejski Stadium £20 tickets – and are challenging other clubs to follow suit.

The Football Supporters’ Federation is always happy to give clubs a pat on the back for dropping prices and, with that in mind, we’d like to say well done Hartlepool United – the club’s new scheme could see fans paying as little as £100 for a season ticket. However, it’s the club’s promo video which has really captured the imagination. With an aesthetic that wouldn’t look out of place in a Vic & Bob sketch it looks like it cost about £100 as well. It’s now been more than one year since COVID-19 first hit and the football calendar changed dramatically. Supporters haven’t been in grounds since November 2020 and it’s likely that, even with a return to some form of normality, restrictions will be in place next season too.
The cost of attending the World Cup final has gone up again – with FIFA revealing ticket prices 46% higher than its previous tournament making it the most expensive World Cup to date.
