I am England campaign launched

This is a story from the FSF archive – the FSF and SD merged to become the FSA in 2019.

The ‘I am England’ campaign is today launched by Philosophy Football to celebrate St George’s Day. The campaign is also backed by Kick It Out who work to challenge discrimination in football, education, and the community.

The centrepiece of the campaign is the ‘I am England’ t-shirt and to celebrate St George’s Day we’ve got a suitably patriotic prize for you too as we’ve got five to give away.

To enter the ‘I am England’ t-shirt competition answer the following question: Q. Which full England international has the most caps?

Email your answer to competitions@fsf.org.uk – deadline for entries is Friday April 30th. You must include the email header ‘E-Lions t-shirt competition’.

"Whoever you are, wherever you’re from, whatever your faith, or none, we are all England," explained campaign organiser Mark Perryman. "The campaign is very positive and simple. We can all be England, if we choose to be, no qualifications are required to become a fan, no exclusions demanded to determine who can and cannot be a supporter."

Of course you don’t have to be a competition winner to get your hands on an ‘I am England’ t-shirt. The t-shirt, which normally retails at £14.99, is available with a £5 discount for all Englandfans, E-Lions subscribers and FSF members. Visit this link at Philosophy Football to get your discounted ‘I am England’ t-shirt for only £9.99 – they’ll even throw in a free ‘We Are England’ t-shirt.
