#ICYMI: Just one Cornet

OL’s Maxwel Cornet is the subject of this week’s #ICYMI with an early contender for miss of the season. Getting on the end of an excellent cross, Cornet had the Dijon goal at his mercy but somehow almost sent it out for a thrown-in on the far side. Great stuff.

Sergio Reguilon probably wishes games were still behind closed doors, as 10,000 Spurs fans were there to witness this particular clanger at the weekend. Not only did it contribute to his side’s 2-1 home defeat, but it was also the 1000th own goal in Premier League history. Foxes & Bluebirds – two teams, one community

‘Look! They’ve all worn the away strip for today,’ said the old man in the flat cap behind me. I looked across to my left to the Leicester supporters in the away section and they were indeed wearing the same colour shirts. But it was not the team’s regular grey away strip, rather white tee shirts bearing a picture of their late chairman Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha and their tribute to him in a simple two word message, ‘The Boss.’

The first to the one thousandth

At supporter-owned Exeter City’s match against Swindon Town on Saturday 13th October (happily won 2-0 by City), a presentation of an inscribed silver salver was made by Nick Hawker, Exeter City Supporters’ Trust Chairman, to former player Steve Flack as scorer of the very first goal by Exeter City FC under supporter ownership – against Halifax Town on 9th August 2003.
