North West Football Awards 2022
Voting for the Northwest Football Awards (NWFA) is open, giving supporters in the region the chance to vote across a range of categories in the men’s and women’s game.
The NWFA “honours and celebrates the region’s footballing elite” and, while fans can vote for the on-the-field favourites, a panel of judges will also hand out a range of awards to those working away behind-the-scenes.
The awards were launched 15 years ago to celebrate the region, paying tribute to those who have achieved excellence, with more than 600 guests in attendance last year.
In 2021 Mohamed Salah took the Premier League Player of the Year Award while Manchester City’s Chloe Kelly was Women’s Player of the Season. You can see all the 2021 winners here.
Away from the pitch Manchester United Foundation and Blackpool FC Community Trust took the Community Club of the Season prizes. Manchester United’s club chef James Tagg won the Unsung Hero award after helping distribute 80,000 meals to local families.
